Khutzeymateen Wilderness Lodge
Sheltered by the Coast Mountains, just south of the Alaska panhandle on British Columbia’s wild north coast, lies the K'tzim-a-deen (Khutzeymateen) Inlet. Here, within the traditional territory of the Tsimshian Nations, lives a healthy and indomitable population of coastal grizzly bears.
Located within this unique conservancy and grizzly bear sanctuary, the Khutzeymateen Wilderness Lodge is your home in the rainforest where you can visit with the incredible grizzly bears in their wild habitat.
Spend your day viewing bears, kayaking and paddle boarding in the inlet and exploring the waterfalls. In the evening you can have cedar sauna, watch the wildlife in the bay or read a book around the campfire. Fall asleep to the splash of the seals under a warm duvet.
Khutzeymateen Wilderness Lodge is the only permitted lodge within the Khutzeymateen Protected Area. Our floating lodge lets you enjoy cozy comfort in the rainforest with room to stretch out and appreciate the quiet of the wild.
