EXPERIENCE THE KHUTZEYMATEEN
Our 24 foot tour boat is designed to view bears quietly in shallow water throughout the inlet's extensive sedge flats, starting directly across from our lodge. Our covered boat ensures that you can focus on the bears rather than trying to keep your camera gear dry.
HALF DAY TOURS
We can accommodate special events at our wilderness lodge: a business retreat for your company, a wedding, a workshop or private use of our facilities. If you have your own vessel and are looking to bring out some friends and family, we can put together cost effective options for your group.

No roads, no towns, no lights...just wilderness and wildlife. Climb into the floatplane and take off from Prince Rupert, BC for a 20 minute flight over mountains and inlets to the Khutzeymateen.
Our days are filled with searching for grizzly bears in the lush Khutzeymateen Inlet and estuary, with bald eagles, seabirds, seals, waterfalls and mountains. We move with the tides, daylight and weather to view and photograph the beauty of the rainforest. We are out exploring and bear viewing for an average of 5-6 hours every day.
The tour includes an orientation by the BC Parks K'tzim-a-deen Rangers at the Visitor Centre in the Khutzeymateen Grizzly Bear Sanctuary where you will learn about Tshimshian culture and history.
At the lodge you can relax by the fire, take out a kayak or paddle board, have a wood-fired sauna or fish off the dock - we have the fishing gear, you just need a tidal waters fishing licence.
THE TOUR PACKAGE INCLUDES:
Floatplane flights to and from Prince Rupert, BC.
